All Dorset Hospitality Hash House Harriers

ADH4 is a fun running, walking & socialising club, who meet at a pub on a Friday evening, usually 7pm.

The hares are in charge of specifying: the place, the actual time & the laying of the trails. There is usually both a running & a walking trail provided, with short cuts, shiggy (mud, wet or boggy patches) & many other natural obstacles. The hares should give instructions as to the likely length of the trails & the terrain or obstacles that may be met on the way - but they have been known to lie!

It does get dark in winter, so bring a good, well charged, torch.

This is not a competitive race, just a fun run, & a huge bit of a lark. Prizes are awarded to the outstanding miscreants of the evening.

So come and enjoy!

Hash House Harriers are known as running clubs with a drinking problem, or drinking clubs with a running problem! (It's in our genes - see the Medical page!) It is effectively a hare & hounds paper chase, with much story telling afterwards in the pub. There are thousands of such clubs, & there are many Inter hashes & Nash hashes organised around the world.

All comers are made welcome. The idea is to run, walk or socialise whilst following a trail of dust set by the hares.

The trail can be around town or in the countryside. Dust can be: blobs of flour, sawdust or marks of chalk. Find 3 blobs and you're on trail. When you have found the route, yell "On on", so others can follow.
